David and Stella Gibson celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary April 15. They were married in 1961 at St. Paul Catholic Church of Vicksburg.

David retired from Illinois Central Gulf Railroad as an assistant division manager of budget and cost controls, and Stella retired from Merchants National Bank as an installment loan clerk. They have two daughters, Lee Ann (Guy) Botsford and Andrea (Neal) Lewis, and four grandchildren, Dustin Pagan, Brittany Pigg, Rebecca Pigg and Laney Lewis, all of Vicksburg.

Family and close friends are invited to a celebration to be held at a later date.
