A Lumberton man was in the Warren County Jail this morning charged with three counts of auto burglary while a second suspect is being sought.

Andrew Dustin James, 20, 47 Timberbluff Drive, was arrested by Vicksburg police at 6 a.m. Saturday at Beechwood Park Apartments, 201 Berryman Road, Vicksburg police Lt. Bobby Stewart said.

James was found by the apartment’s security guard sitting in a 1997 Oldsmobile that did not belong to him, Stewart said.

The second suspect, described as a white man wearing blue jeans and a red baseball cap, fled the scene, Stewart said.

The two are accused of taking a Tom Tom navigation system valued at $100 from a 2005 Nissan Altima and a purse and its contents valued at $200 from a 1995 Honda Accord, Stewart said. The three vehicles reported burglarized were unlocked. None of the items have been recovered.

James was being held without bond.
