DELTA, La. — Betty Sue Oden died Saturday, July 9, 2011, at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. She was 65.
Mrs. Oden was born in Avon, Miss., and lived in Greenville and Crosett, Ark. For the past 20 years, she had been making her home in Delta, La.
She was vice-president of the Bread of Life Worldwide Ministries and was a member of the Cloverdale Assembly of God in Crosett.
Mrs. Oden was preceded in death by her parents, Jim Tom Sr. and Eula May Walls Rochell; and two brothers, Jim Tom Rochell Jr. and James Rochell.
She is survived by her husband, Glen Oden of Delta; two sons, Anthony Dewayne “Tony” Oden of Oklahoma City, Okla., and George Houston Oden of Vicksburg; four daughters, Patricia Renee Martin of Hattiesburg, Glenda Susanne Tipitt of Hamburg, Ark., Tina Elizabeth Holt of Branson, Mo., and Amanda LeAnn Holt of Waco, Texas; two brothers, Wayne Rochell of Greenville and Curtis Rochell of LaPorte, Texas; and three sisters, Doris Hester of Berryville, Ark., Mary Jane Rushing of Jennings, La., and Jeanette Oden of Center, Texas; 10 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be 9 a.m. Monday at Glenwood Funeral Home with services to follow at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Roger Cresswell officiating. A graveside service will be at 5 p.m. Monday at Eden Cemetery in Milo, Ark. with the Rev. Kenny Bolen officiating.
