JACKSON — Joyce U’Dell Kennedy White, formerly of Vicksburg, died Tuesday, Aug. 2, 2011, at Central Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson. She was 57.

Mrs. White was a 1971 graduate of H.V. Cooper High School and attended Jackson State University. She was a former employee for the Veterans Administration Medical Center and was a member of Bingham Memorial Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her father, Johnny Kennedy.

She is survived by her husband, Willie White of Jackson; her mother, Roberta Bingham Kennedy of Vicksburg; one sister, Sharlyn Wilkinson of Vicksburg; a half-sister, Debra Smith of Vicksburg; and aunts, uncles, nephews, a niece and other relatives, including members of the Kennedy, Bingham, White, Cox and Harris families of Vicksburg and Jackson.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Bingham Memorial Baptist Church with the Rev. James Archer officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 until 7 tonight at W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home.
