Interstate 20 exit ramps at Edwards will be closed today and Friday for paving, Mississippi Department of Transportation officials announced.

The eastbound ramp was set to be closed today from 6 a.m. to about 1 p.m. for final stages of the department’s reconstruction project.

The paving will continue Friday on the westbound exit ramp, which will be closed from 6 a.m. to 1 p.m.

MDOT officials said drivers should expect traffic delays, and motorists heading to Edwards, which is at Exit 19 on the highway, were advised to seek alternate routes, which include U.S. 80 from east and west.
