Tracey Smith Byrd died Wednesday, March 2, 2011, at the River Region Medical Center. She was 44.

Ms. Byrd was a lifelong resident of Vicksburg, where she attended school at St. Francis Xavier Academy before graduating from Porters Chapel Academy and Hinds Community College. For a number of years, she was employed by Dr. Elizabeth Henderson as a medical records technologist. She was a member of Christ Episcopal Church.

Survivors include her daughter, Schuyler Bryd of Vicksburg; and her parents, William G. “Bill” Smith and Claudette S. Smith, both of Vicksburg.

Services will be at a later date with Glenwood Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
