Vicksburg police continued this morning the investigation into the four armed robberies reported early Thursday morning.
Sgt. Sandra Williams said this morning police were working to determine if the robberies are related. She said Thursday that the descriptions were similar and police had no suspects.
The first robbery was reported at 2:19 a.m. at KFC, 2915 Clay St.
The victim told police he was sitting in his truck in the parking lot when he was approached by a man and robbed at gunpoint. A wallet with an undetermined amount of cash was taken.
At 3:15 a.m., another man was robbed at gunpoint while riding his bike near Army Navy Drive and Confederate Avenue. An unknown amount of cash was taken. Seven minutes later, a man walking from Best Western to Waffle House at 2455 N. Frontage Road was robbed. The victim ran away and was chased into Waffle House by the suspect. Once inside, the suspect robbed a female customer of cash, and attempted to rob a waitress at the cash register before running away.
Late Thursday, police released a photo taken from a video surveillance camera at the Waffle House showing the suspect pointing what appears to be a gun.
Williams asked that anyone with information on the robberies contact the department at 601-636-2511 or Crimestoppers at 601-355-8477.
