Dawn S. Stevenson and John H. McClendon, both of Vicksburg, will be married at 4:30 p.m. June 18, 2011, at Greater Grove Street Church, 2715 Alcorn Drive. A reception will follow at the Southern Cultural Heritage Center, 1302 Adams St. All relatives and friends are invited to attend.

Miss Stevenson is the daughter of Earnest Lee and Willie Mae Stevenson, all of Vicksburg. She is the granddaughter of the late Prentiss and Izora Coleman, Willie Wiley, Robert Mack, Rosie Lee Miller and Helen Caldwell, all of Vicksburg.

Mr. McClendon is the son of Joseph and Diane Williams and the late William McClendon of Vicksburg. He is the grandson of the late Emma McClendon-McGee, the late Lela Mae Donerson, the late Mary Donerson and Clifton Harris of Vicksburg.

The bride-elect is a 2000 graduate of Warren Central High School, where she was a member of HOSA, FTA, Choices, varsity choir, Navy ROTC and Student Council.

She received a medical assistant degree from Virginia College in 2007 and attends Copiah-Lincoln Community College, Natchez, where she is majoring in respiratory care technology with a minor in social work.

Miss Stevenson is a security dispatcher and emergency medical responder at Ameristar Casino.

The prospective groom is a 1991 graduate of Vicksburg High School, where he played varsity football.

Mr. McClendon is assistant manager/chef at Bella’s Restaurant at Ameristar Casino.
