Dorothy Cole Phelps died on June 17, 2011, at River Region Medical Center. She was 99.

Mrs. Phelps was born in Goodlettsville, Tenn., in 1912. She was a graduate of Central High School in Memphis. She was active in the Memphis Little Theater and in radio talk shows in both Nashville and Memphis.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James Burns Cole and Caroline Stanfield Cole; her husband, Henry Vick Phelps II; and her sister, Irene Cole Fuller.

She is survived by three daughters, Irene Cole Terry of Brentwood, Tenn., Mary Vick Domin of Yazoo City, Miss., and Helen Carolyn May of Nitta Yuma, Miss.; and a son, Henry Vick Phelps III of Nitta Yuma, Miss.; three grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Monday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Glenwood Funeral Home in Rolling Fork. Services will be Tuesday at Anguilla Methodist Church at 11 a.m.
