Vicksburg and Warren County E-911 Commission members met in a three-hour closed session Wednesday, discussing but taking no action on what they termed a “personnel issue.”
The called meeting was announced to commission members through an e-mail Tuesday, chairman David McDonald said before the meeting.
Another closed session to continue investigating the issue has been set for Monday at 1:30 p.m. at the E-911 facility on Clay Street, McDonald said.
“We are waiting for additional information,” McDonald said. “We will make a statement then.”
At least three E-911 staff members were called to answer questions, including director Jason Tatum, deputy director Nicole Vera and administrative assistant Carrie Mitchell.
Besides McDonald, commissioners in attendance were Mayor Paul Winfield, police Chief Walter Armstrong, fire Chief Charles Atkins and Emergency Managment Director Gwen Coleman. Volunteer firefighter coordinator Kelly Worthy attended for a part of the meeting.
