Alice May Taylor

PATTISON — Alice May Taylor died Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2011, at her home. She was 97.

Mrs. Taylor was a native of Tasso, Tenn., and a lifelong resident of the Pattison community, where she was a member of Unity Baptist Church. She was formerly employed by the American Papertube Company in Port Gibson.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Vardaman Taylor.

Survivors include her two nieces, Florine Lutz Spell of Lawrenceville, Ga., and Anna Katherine Cockerham of Vicksburg; and three nephews, Clarence Kelly of Pearl, Bradley Lutz of Vicksburg and Tommy Lutz of Pattison.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Glenwood Funeral Home in Port Gibson with the Rev. Albert Parsons officiating. Burial will follow at Wintergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. Saturday until the service at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Marvin “Beau” Lutz, Bradley Lutz, Tommy Lutz and Clarence Kelly.

Honorary pallbearers will be Hobort Riley, Charlie Perritt, George Perritt, Dr. David Headley, Tony Dodgen, Doug Assaf, Gary Knight, Mitch Hill and John Selden.
