Leo Colenburg

Leo Colenburg died Friday, Feb. 18, 2011, at his home. He was 79.
Mr. Colenburg was retired from the Waterways Experiment Station, where he was employed in environmental services. He was a licensed carpenter and former owner/operator of the Slipper’s Inn in Vicksburg. Mr. Colenburg was born in Jefferson County and was a member of Shiloh M. B. Church. He was also a veteran of the Korean War.
He was preceded in death by his parents Julius Colenburg and Eunice Doss; a brother, Nathan Colenburg; and a sister, Jessie Clark.
He is survived by his wife, Sylvia S. Colenburg of Vicksburg; two daughters Eunice Trawally and Felecia Williams; two stepdaughters, Clara Sims and Debra Davis, both of Vicksburg; seven grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; eight step-great-grandchildren; and nieces, nephews, cousins and others.
