Flashes head south to Resurrection

It’s going to be one long bus ride to the Coast for St. Aloysius on Saturday. If the Flashes can’t come away with a win, the trip home might be even longer.
St. Al (1-6, 1-4 Region 4-1A) will take its longest road trip of the season, to Pascagoula to face Resurrection with its playoff hopes still barely alive.
Going into the home stretch of a disappointing year, the final three opponents — Stringer, region-leading Bogue Chitto and Mount Olive — sit above St. Al in the region standings. At this point, the Flashes would have to win out and get a lot of help to slip into the fourth and final playoff spot in the region. Bogue Chitto (5-0) and Cathedral (4-0) are undefeated in region play, while Stringer and Dexter are tied for the third seed with a 3-1 record. University Christian is one game behind at 3-2.
