Four Vicksburg teens were in the Warren County Jail this morning charged with felonies associated with a home burglary on Belva Drive in the city on Tuesday.

Warren County sheriff’s investigators, working on information received Wednesday night, arrested Cody Whitehead, 17, 4602 Halls Ferry Road; Chase Youmans, 19, 4816 Gibson Road; Joshua Presson, 19, 125 Timberlane Drive; and Ruben Williams, 18, 4909 Gibson Road, Sheriff Martin Pace said this morning.

The burglary had been reported to the Vicksburg Police Department Tuesday evening by a resident of the 200 block of Belva Drive.

Pace said a .45-caliber handgun, jewelry and cigarettes were recovered when Whitehead, Youmans and Presson were arrested after a traffic stop Wednesday night at about 8:30.

When Williams was arrested just before 1 this morning as he walked near his home, a second handgun reported missing in the burglary was found tucked in his waistband, Pace said.

The only thing still missing, Pace said, is some loose change.

Representatives from the sheriff’s department, city police and the Warren County District Attorney’s office were to meet today, Pace said, to determine whether the four will be charged by the city or the county.
