The M.V. Benyaurd pushes the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ Vicksburg District’s mat-sinking unit out from the Port of Vicksburg Monday as about 250 employees set out on a monthlong mission to set concrete mat revetments along the banks of the Mississippi River to help prevent erosion.
