James Henry Miles Jr. died Wednesday, Oct. 26, 2011, at River Region Medical Center. He was 70.

Mr. Miles was a native of Rolling Fork and had lived in Vicksburg for the past 25 years. He was a retired diesel mechanic.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Anna Weaver Miles and James Henry Miles Sr.; and numerous brothers and sisters.

Survivors include his wife, Shirley S. Miles of Vicksburg; three sons, James S. Miles, Andy Miles and Jamie Miles, all of Meridian; a daughter, Sandy Logan of Florence, S.C.; two stepsons, Johnny Bliss and Michael Bliss, both of Vicksburg; two stepdaughters, Tamera Merritt and Kim Caton, both of Vicksburg; a brother, Paul Miles of Carthage; a sister, Adele Boykin of Rolling Fork; and numerous grandchildren.

Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Glenwood Funeral Home with the Rev. David C. Gale officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 9 a.m. until the service at the funeral home.
