City man accused of violating parole

A Vicksburg man was in the Warren County Jail this morning, accused of violating parole.

Tony Evans, 45, 2713 Jeanette St., was arrested on a warrant at 8:40 p.m. Monday by Vicksburg police while standing at Bowmar Avenue and Letitia Street, Lt. Bobby Stewart said.

Evans was convicted in 2002 of sale of cocaine in Warren County and was sentenced to 15 years, Stewart said.

He was paroled in 2006.
