Services for Jessie H. Green will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Gospel Temple Baptist Church with the Rev. Alonzo Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon until 6 tonight at Williams Funeral Service.

Mr. Green died Monday, May 30, 2011, at his home. He was 72.

He served 16 years in the Army Reserves. He was retired from the railroad and was a member of Gospel Temple M.B. Church.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Rosa Sims.

Survivors include three sons, Jessie H. Green Jr. of Oakdale, La., Rodney Green of Atlanta and Raymond Green of Vicksburg; four sisters, Janie Jackson of Vicksburg, Thelma Newsome of Natchez and Leola Sims and Jacqueline Sims, both of Minneapolis; his caretaker, Jackie Dart; and other relatives.
