Allen and Claborn to marry on July 16

Mr. and Mrs. Michael David Allen of Vicksburg announce the engagement of their daughter, Holly Nicole, to Gary Alan Claborn of Hattiesburg. Mr. Claborn is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Elias of Laurel and Mr. and Mrs. Alan Claborn of Muskegon, Mich.
Miss Allen is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. J.M. Tidwell, the late Cecil Harris and the late A.J. Allen, all of Vicksburg.
Mr. Claborn is the grandson of the Rev. and Mrs. Thomas James of Topeka, Kan.; Freda Davidson of Medicine Park, Okla.; and Billie Claborn of Apache, Okla.
The bride-elect is a 2006 honor graduate of Vicksburg High School, where she was a member of the National Honor Society and Key Club. She was a member of the Vicksburg Cotillion Club and Sub-Debs.
She graduated with honors in 2011 from the University of Southern Mississippi, where she received a Bachelor of Science and Technology degree in interior design and a minor in dance. She was a Luckyday Scholar and Academic Excellence Scholar and served as USM student chapter president of the National Kitchen and Bath Association. She was a member of Delta Delta Delta sorority, Phi Eta Sigma national honor society and the American Society of Interior Designers.
Miss Allen is an interior designer at Anderson Design Center in Hattiesburg.
The prospective groom is a 2005 graduate of Laurel High School, where he was a member of the Key Club, FBLA and golf team. He attended the University of Mississippi.
Mr. Claborn is a sales representative at Verizon Wireless in Hattiesburg.
The wedding will be at 4 p.m. July 16, 2011, at First Baptist Church in Vicksburg. A reception will follow at the B’nai B’rith Literary Club. All relatives and friends are invited to attend.
