Allison Andrea Burden and Kedron Alex Guinn, both of Jackson, will be married in a private ceremony at 4 p.m. Aug. 1, 2011, at Word & Worship Church in Jackson. A reception will begin at 4 p.m. Aug. 13 at Unique Banquet Hall, Mississippi 27 in Vicksburg. All relatives and friends are invited to attend the reception.

Miss Burden is the daughter of Shirley Burden Smith and Leon Williams of Vicksburg. She is the granddaughter of the late Geneva and Charlie McGowan, the late George Smith, the late Charlie Williams and Virgie Williams of Vicksburg.

Mr. Guinn is the son of Ora and Johnnie Guinn of Vicksburg. He is the grandson of Para Dorsey and the late Alex Dorsey of Port Gibson and Oneda Guinn and the late Willie James Guinn of Houston, Texas.

The bride-elect is a 1992 graduate of Vicksburg High School. She attended Hinds Community College and Phoenix University.

Miss Burden is a Healthy You vending distributor.

The prospective groom is a 1995 graduate of Port Gibson High School. He attended Alcorn State University.
