The engagement of Joyce Melinda McNeil-Scott to Robert Antonio Davis, both of Vicksburg, is announced today. Vows will be exchanged at 5 p.m. May 28, 2011, at Pleasant Valley M.B. Church, Mississippi 27. A reception will follow at St. Paul Family Live Center in Bovina. All relatives and friends are invited to attend.

Ms. McNeil-Scott is the daughter of Delia Hall and the late Richard McNeil Sr. of Vicksburg. She is the granddaughter of the late Henrietta Lee of Vicksburg and the late Ester Lindsey of Champaign, Ill.

Mr. Davis is the son of Gloria and Melvin Lynn and Robert Thomas Sr. of Vicksburg. He is the grandson of Mary and Alfred Davis Sr. and Cellastine and Leon Thomas Sr., all of Vicksburg.

The bride-elect is a 1993 graduate of Warren Central High School. She is a slot supervisor at Riverwalk Casino.

The prospective groom is a 2001 graduate of Warren Central High School, where he played junior varsity and varsity football and was named All-District offensive lineman.
