Susan A. Coleman

Susan A. Coleman died Monday, Sept. 10, 2012, at University of Mississippi Medical Center. She was 55.

Born in Vicksburg, Mrs. Coleman was the daughter of Gloria B. Allen and the late Albert R. Allen Jr. of Vicksburg. She was a graduate of Warren Central High School and attended Hinds Community College.

Mrs. Coleman was a former employee of the First National and Trustmark National banks with 25 years of service. Prior to her retirement, she was a switchboard operator with River Region Medical Center. She was a member of Southside Baptist Church.

Mrs. Coleman was a devoted wife and a loving mother and grandmother.

She is survived by her husband, Buddy Coleman of Vicksburg; one daughter, Amanda Gray (Shane) of Vicksburg; one son, Allen Coleman (Seleta) of Laurel; seven grandchildren; her mother, Gloria B. Allen of Vicksburg; and one sister, Sylvia Lerio of Baton Rouge.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her sister, Rory A. Roberson.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Riles Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Greg Clemts, pastor of Southside Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be at Cedar Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. Friday until the hour of the service.

Pallbearers will be Tyler Gray, Mark Dement, James Davidson, Pat Baker, Logan Beard, Todd Wilson, Eddie Coleman and Mike Carpenter.

Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Walter Johnston, Dr. Michael Davis and Dr. William Porter.
