Elizabeth A. Brown died Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2012, at her home. She was 78.
Mrs. Brown worked as a homemaker and later as a substitute teacher in the Warren County Schools.
Mrs. Brown was a member of the First Baptist Church, where she worked in the nursery for many years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe W. and Mary J. Adcox.
She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 58 years, Turner Brown; one son, Joe Brown of Collierville, Tenn.; two daughters, Becky Brown of Vicksburg and Karen Brown of Collierville; one grandson, Kevin Brown of Navarre, Fla.; two brothers, Bill Adcox (Shirley) of Ruston, La., and John Adcox (Rosalyn) of Atlanta; two sisters, Sara McMath of Bryan Texas, and Peggy Mattison (Andy) of Mobile, Ala.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Glenwood Funeral Home with the Rev. Jim Hess, associate pastor of First Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 5 until 7 tonight and from 10 a.m. Friday until the hour of the service.
Pallbearers will be J.W. Carter, Fred Baldwin, David Baldwin, Randy Oswalt, Charlie Peets and Will Poe.
Honorary pallbearers will be Cecilia “CeCe” Cobbs, Alice Jones, Gladys Pettway, Dr. Dan Edney, nursery workers of First Baptist Church, Love Sunday school class of First Baptist Church and hospice workers.
