Patterson, Cameron recite vows

George Patterson Jr. and Sheryl Cameron were married at 4 p.m. Feb. 18, 2012, at Triumphant M.B. Church. Pastor Dexter P. Jones officiated at the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Deloris Gooden of Vicksburg and Willie Cameron of New Orleans.

The groom is the son of George Sr. and Barbara Patterson of Vicksburg.

The bride was given in marriage by her brother, Daryel McNeil. Her chosen colors were navy and silver.

Music for the ceremony was presented by Victor Gilliam, Rosman Daniels, Annie Chiles and De’Undra Moore.

Maid of honor was Andreia Gooden of Vicksburg. Matron of honor was Wilda Franklin of Waldorf, Md. Bridesmaids were Amanda Daniels, Helen Ashley, Nakitta Guise, Barbara Harris, Chantay Patterson and Donna Hamblin, all of Vicksburg.

Junior bridesmaids were Erica Rawlings of Vicksburg and Diamond Wilson of Jackson.

George Patterson III of Vicksburg served as best man. Groomsmen were Gary Guise, Ellis Jones and Sammy Stewart, all of Vicksburg; Willie Truitt and Donald Cummings, both of Tallulah; and Darrius Moore of Lake Providence.

Junior groomsmen were Ivri McElroy of New Orleans and Eric Rawlings Jr. of Vicksburg.

Usher was Janus Jones of Vicksburg.

Flower girl was Nalaysia Guise of Vicksburg. Ring bearer was Willie Truitt Jr. of Vicksburg.

Kaitlyn Hogan of Vicksburg served as miniature bride. Miniature groom was Kaleb McNeil.

Bible carrier was Devontae Steward of Rolling Fork. Special wedding assistants were Cynthia Calvin and Kenyatta Washington.

A reception followed at Kings Empowerment Center. Hostesses were Nicole McGloster, Annie Sims, Kenny Ross and Reba McElroy.

For a wedding trip, the couple traveled to New Orleans.

The bride is employed at Sherman Avenue Elementary, and the groom is employed with Vicksburg Warren School District Transportation.
