Vicksburg man jailed on weapons charge

A Vicksburg man was held without bail this morning on weapons charges.
Jamaal Stowers, 24, 128 Village Drive, was arrested following a traffic stop by Deputy Weston Watts on U.S. 61 South at 11:02 p.m. Tuesday and charged with possession of a stolen firearm and possession of a firearm after a felony conviction, according to jail records.
Stowers was convicted in 2010 of grand larceny and embezzlement and was indicted in January 2011 for armed robbery, according to court records.
