UTICA — Dovie M. Crawford died Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2012, at Covenant Health and Rehab of Vicksburg. She was 81.

Mrs. Crawford was a lifelong resident of Utica. She was employed with Jerry’s Appliance Center in Utica until her retirement. She was a member of Utica Baptist Church and a member of the T.E.L. Sunday school class.

She was preceded in death by her husband, A.B. Crawford Jr.; a daughter, Donna Summerville; her parents, Ruben and Gussie Sims; and a sister, Jean Allen.

Survivors include one son, Benjamin Crawford of Utica; two brothers, Adrian Sims of Cabot, Ark., and Thomas Sims of Newman; and four grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Utica Baptist Church with the Rev. Rocky Henriques officiating. Burial will follow at Utica City Cemetery with Glenwood Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Visitation will be Friday at the church from 9 a.m. until the service.

Pallbearers will be Ronnie Crawford, Matthew Crawford, Roy Blissett, Clark Denley, Russell Cannada and Scott Cannada.
