TALLULAH — Bessie Lea Purvis died Saturday, June 18, 2011, Olive Branch Senior Care Center in Tallulah. She was 84.

Mrs. Purvis was born in Epps and had lived in East Carroll Parish for 59 years. She was a housewife.

Survivors include her son, Bobby Ray Rawles of Rayville; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Melbourne Baptist Church with the Rev. Butch Goodman officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation is tonight from 4 until 7 at Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home.
