Joseph Lane Campbell and Amy Elizabeth Calvert were married at 6 p.m. March 26, 2011, at First Baptist Church of Jackson. Dr. Ron Mumbower officiated at the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. B. Randall Calvert of Madison. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Houston Samuel Sutter and the late Mr. Sutter and Mr. and Mrs. Billy Sam Calvert, all of Meridian.

The groom is the son of Mrs. Francis Joseph Campbell of Vicksburg and the late Mr. Campbell. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Dewey Dunagin Blackledge Sr. of Laurel and the late Mr. and Mrs. William Herbert Campbell of Vicksburg.

Music for the ceremony was provided by Magnolia String Quartet; Eva Hart, pianist; and Kathy Gautier, soloist.

The bride’s cousin, Meredith Rhodes Roach of Madison, served as matron of honor. Maid of honor was Mary Christine Kellum, of Jackson.

Bridesmaids were Meredith Haygood Calvert, sister-in-law of the bride, of Birmingham, Ala.; Jill Elizabeth Johnson, cousin of the bride, of Jasper, Ind.; Mallory May Davis of Memphis; Heather Wiggins Moffatt of Oxford; Allison Taylor McPherson and Mary Margaret Thiel, both of Jackson; Anna Gregory Fiser, Lauren Ashley Harrison and Rebecca Bailess Stewart, all of Madison; and Carrleigh Paige Partee and Catherine Anne Partee, cousins of the bride, both of Trussville, Ala. Junior bridesmaid was Anna Lauren Partee, cousin of the bride, of Trussville.

The groom’s brothers, Dr. William Francis Campbell of Ridgeland and Matthew Dunagin Campbell of Oxford, served as best men. Groomsmen were Dr. Graham Carr Calvert of Birmingham, Dr. Justin Allen Calvert of Nashville and John Randall Calvert of Starkville, all brothers of the bride; Harry Lenwood Brooks V of Washington, D.C.; Gordon Withmond Fellows of Tupelo; James Peter Glover of Flowood; Aaron Luke Kidder of Columbus; David Carter Sharp of Vicksburg; William Moore Walker of Birmingham; and Ryan Matthew Walker of Germantown, Tenn.

Ushers were Jonathan Lindsey Blackledge and Joshua David Blackledge, both of Laurel, and Forbes Grogan IV of Vicksburg, all cousins of the groom; and Taylor Jabour of Nashville.

Flower girls were cousins of the bride: Savannah McLaurine Rhodes and Abigail Roberts Rhodes of Mobile, Ala. Ring bearers were Graham Carr Calvert Jr., nephew of the bride, of Birmingham; Samuel Mount Roach, cousin of the bride, of Madison; and Riley Dean Lampkin of Vicksburg.

Program attendants were Laura Anderson Blackledge and Lindsey Frances Blackledge, both of Vicksburg, and Laura Katherine Grogan of Atlanta, all cousins of the groom.

Serving as the bride’s proxy was Ashleigh O’Quinn Daniel of Houston, Texas.

The bride’s parents hosted a reception at The South. Guests were entertained with music by Band 24/7 of Nashville.

Following a wedding trip to Riviera Maya, Mexico, the couple is at home in Vicksburg. The bride is a nurse practitioner at Vicksburg Medical Associates, and the groom is an assistant district attorney for the Ninth Judicial District for the State of Mississippi.

Bridesmaids’ breakfast

On the morning of the wedding, a bridesmaids’ breakfast was held at the home of Dr. and Mrs. Greg Fiser in Madison. Co-hostesses were Anna Fiser, Ramona Johnson, Keela Partee and Dr. Rosemary Rhodes.

Bachelor brunch

The groom and his groomsmen were honored with a bachelor brunch at Char on the day of the wedding. Hosts were Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Anderson. Mr. and Mrs. David Blackledge, Dr. and Mrs. Dewey Blackledge, Mr. and Mrs. Lindsey Blackledge, Mr. and Mrs. Ken Grogan, the Rev. and Mrs. Ben James, and Drs. Mary and John Stewart.

On the eve of the wedding, the groom’s mother hosted a rehearsal dinner for the bridal party and families at The Capital Club.
