Jeryl Taylor Johnson died Tuesday, May 10, 2011, at River Region Medical Center. She was 82.
A native of Lauderdale County, Mrs. Johnson had lived in Issaquena County for 45 years. She had farming interests in Issaquena and Warren counties.
She graduated from the University of Mississippi and served on the Board of Directors for BancorpSouth for a number of years. She was a member of Oakland Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Gary L. Johnson; a son, Wynn Johnson; and her sister, Joyce Taylor.
Survivors include two nephews, David Johnson of Vicksburg and Jerry Johnson of Albuquerque, N.M.; one niece, Dawn Johnson of Vicksburg; and great-nieces and -nephews.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday atGlenwood Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Justin Rhodes officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 10 a.m. Thursday until the service.
Pallbearers will be Mike Marshall, Martin Pace, David Johnson, T.D. Easterling, Landy Teller and Charles Marshall.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Warren County Sheriff’s Department, George Jabour and David Samples.
