Autopsy: Man died before fire

The results of an autopsy performed on a Vicksburg man found dead after a fire in his home 11 days ago show that he died of natural causes before the blaze, Warren County Coroner Doug Huskey said.

John Brandon Graham, 56, was found dead in the kitchen of his home on Rooster Ridge Road, off 615 Burnt House Road, after an early-morning fire Dec. 5.

Huskey said Graham suffered from a number of health problems and did not die from the fire. Graham had been cooking, the coroner said, and the blaze came after his death.

The fire, which destroyed the mobile home where Graham lived on land belonging to his family, started around 4:30 a.m., Sheriff Martin Pace said. The home was engulfed in flames when firefighters from Fisher Ferry and LeTourneau volunteer fire departments arrived.

Huskey also said an autopsy on a Warren County woman confirmed his initial finding following her death Dec. 5.

Angela Andrews, 40, 10150 U.S. 61 South, Lot 10, died from blunt force head trauma, Huskey said.

Andrews’ live-in boyfriend, Lorenzo Hull, 41, has been charged with murder. Authorities believe Andrews died from a beating by Hull during the night. Hull called 911 around 7:30 a.m., saying his girlfriend would not wake up, Pace said at the time of Hull’s arrest.

Andrews was first taken to River Region Medical Center and later flown to University Medical Center in Jackson where she was pronounced dead just after 3:30 p.m.

Hull was ordered held in the Warren County Jail without bond by County Judge Johnny Price. His case is expected to be reviewed by the grand jury in 2012.
