Virginia A. Long

Virginia A. “Ginny” Long died Wednesday, June 22, 2011, at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson. She was 65.

A native of Nampa, Idaho, Mrs. Long had lived in Vicksburg since 1994. She was a member of Triumph Church of Vicksburg, where she founded the Worship Banners Ministry and was active in the Children’s Ministry and vacation Bible school.

She was preceded in death by her father, Earl Nance, and her mother, Mary Roberts Nance.

She is survived by her husband, Rob Long of Vicksburg; two sons, Chris Diener of Reno, Nev., and DeWayne Diener of Connelly, Idaho; several brothers; and four granddaughters.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Triumph Church with Pastor Michael Fields officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Glenwood Funeral Home. Visitation will be at the church from 9 a.m. until the service.

Pallbearers will be Jerry Price, Elmer Durrell, Michael Winters, Glen Prewitt, Greg Gullett and Paul Fields.
