A city man accused of robbing a Waffle House restaurant on North Frontage Road was formally charged Saturday after being released from a Jackson hospital, Vicksburg police Lt. Bobby Stewart said.

Nathan Kirkley, 22, 105 Churchill Drive, was released from the Warren County Jail Saturday afternoon after posting a $15,000 bond.

Police believe Kirkley, along with Kyle Marshall, 15, 60 Roy Young Road, entered the restaurant Thursday night with a pistol and a tire tool and took an undisclosed amount of money. The suspects then fled, getting into an older model silver Nissan Altima driven by a woman.

While trying to get away, Kirkley was struck by the car. He was taken to River Region Medical Center and then transferred to UMC.

Marshall was arrested Friday afternoon, but was released from Warren County Jail hours later on a $10,000 bond.

Police are still looking for the driver and the vehicle.
