A Tuesday morning call about a suspicious vehicle in the 1200 block of Warrenton Road resulted in the arrest of a Vicksburg man for possession of a 9 mm handgun reported stolen from Hinds County, Vicksburg police Lt. Bobby Stewart said.
Stewart said Harry Ramsey, 22, 117 Walton Lane, was later released from the Warren County Jail on $15,000 bond.
He said officers answering the 10:37 call found a 2003 Chevrolet Impala parked on Warrenton Road with two pistols on the front seat, adding that Ramsey walked up to the car while the officers were looking at it. A records check on the guns’ serial numbers indicated that the 9mm Hi Point pistol was reported stolen in March 2007, and Ramsey was arrested.
