Reader thankful for excellent vets

On April 14, my Yorkie, Sugar Baby, had gotten extremely sick. For those of you who have “fur kids” you know how upsetting this can be, so I took her to Animal Medical Clinic. Dr. Rachel Potter listened intently to my concerns, ran a couple of tests, and found that Sugar Baby had pancreatitis, which is a very serious condition that can cause death, if not treated in a timely fashion. I was crushed by the news and was very upset when I was told that Sugar had to remain in their care for several days. Dr. Potter hugged me and assured me that everything would be fine.. On April 15th, my mom’s Alaskan Husky, Missy, was admitted because she had been as sick as Sugar. My mom and I were told that we could call at any time to receive updates on our “kids.” The receptionists were all very kind, even when they received many calls to check on our babies, and the doctors were very informative and reassuring of the “kids” progress. After four days, Sugar Baby was allowed to come home, and she is on a promising road to recovery. Missy had to stay another week; she is now home and resting with a bright future ahead. My family and I would like to thank Drs. Bailey and Krapac and the kind staff of Animal Medical Clinic for the excellent care given to our “kids.” I would like to give an extra special thanks to Dr. Rachel Potter for going above and beyond what was expected to make this stressful time much more bearable.
