PORT GIBSON — Johnnie J. Greenwood Jr. of Port Gibson died Tuesday, May 6, 2014, at his home. He was 71.
Mr. Greenwood was born Jan. 1, 1943, in Carthage, and retired from M&M Market.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Cloteal Greenwood, and his father and mother, Johnnie Greenwood Sr. and Jeffie Greenwood.
Survivors include two sons, Readell Greenwood and Anthony Harris Sr., both of Port Gibson; two daughters, Gloria Banks and Patricia Harris, both of Port Gibson; three brothers, Willie Tim Greenwood of Port Gibson, and Billy Ray Greenwood and Lester Greenwood, both of Carthage; four sisters, Dorothy Young and Jeanette Greenwood, both of Carthage, and Corice Anderson and Sherell Greenwood, both of Canton; 13 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; an uncle; aunt and other relatives and friends.
Services were Saturday at Free Mission Baptist Church, Ofahoma, with the Rev. Leroy Jennings officiating. Burial was in Greenwood Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Rollins Funeral Home of Port Gibson.
