Cannon soccer holding tryouts

Tryouts for the Cannon Soccer Club’s competitive program will be held June 14 at 10 a.m., and June 17 at 6 p.m. at the Vicksburg Soccer Organization Complex in Bovina. The tryouts are for players ages 9-18.

Warren Central baseball tryouts

Tryouts for Warren Central’s varsity baseball team will be held Monday and Tuesday, from 3 to 5:30 p.m. each day. The tryouts are for players in grades 8-12. “Fuzzy” Johnson baseball registration

Registration for the James “Fuzzy” Johnson youth baseball league will continue throughout May. Registration will be conducted each Saturday at Fuzzy Johnson Field on Mission 66. Hinds CC soccer camp

Hinds Community College will host its annual youth soccer camp June 2-6 on the Raymond campus. The camp is for boys and girls ages 7-14. It will run from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. each day.

Instructors for the camp include Hinds men’s coach Doug Williams and women’s coach Marcille McLendon, along with assistant coaches Brandon Mitchell and Amanda Smith, and former Hinds players.

The cost of the camp is $150 if registered before Thursday, and $175 after that date. Checks should be made payable to HCC Soccer Camp.

Atlanta Braves tryout camp

The Atlanta Braves will host their annual tryout camp June 11 at Trustmark Park. The camp is for players ages 16-22. Registration starts at 9 a.m. and tryouts at 10.

The tryouts are free. Players should bring their own cleats and gloves.

Mississippi Braves baseball camp

The Mississippi Braves will host a youth baseball camp July 30 through Aug. 1 at Trustmark Park in Pearl. The camp is for boys and girls ages 5-14, and the cost is $150 per child. The camp will feature individual instruction from Mississippi Braves players and staff.

All participants will receive an M-Braves cap and merchandise; lunch and beverages each day; two tickets to the M-Braves games on July 31 and 31, and Aug. 1; an autograph session on the final day of the camp; and on-field recognition prior to the game on Aug. 1.

EMCC baseball tryouts Sunday

East Mississippi Community College will hold tryouts for its baseball team Sunday on the Scooba campus. Registration begins at 1:30 p.m. at EMCC’s Gerald Poole Field. The tryouts are open to graduating high school seniors with NJCAA eligibility remaining.
