“It appears they pried the door open. There was some minor damage to both the driver’s door and the passenger door,” Pace said.

A pair of gloves was reported stolen from the patrol car, Pace said.

At about the same time, a .44 caliber revolver was reported stolen from a 1999 Ford F-250 and a .38-caliber revolver was reported missing from a 2010 Lincoln in the same driveway on Villanova Place, Pace said.

“Neither of these vehicles were locked,” Pace said.

In a separate report filed later, a black satchel with work papers and a checkbook inside was reported missing at 7:04 p.m. from a 2001 Honda Accord in the 100 block of Henry Road.

Anyone with information about the break-ins is encouraged to call at 601-636-1761 or Central Mississippi Crime Stoppers at 601-355-8477, Pace said. Callers to Crime Stoppers remain anonymous and do not have to testify in court.

Crime Stoppers will pay a cash reward of up to $2,500 for information leading to the arrest of a felony suspect.
