Delores D. Lewis of Vicksburg died Thursday, June 19, 2014, at St. Dominic Medical Center in Jackson. She was 64.

Ms. Lewis was born in Detroit, where she graduated from Central High School and attended Wayne County Community College, where she studied mortuary science.  She was a member of Anderson Memorial Church of God In Christ in Hamtramck Mich., and was a music lover and an avid reader of the Bible and Stephen King books.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Hughie V. Lewis Sr. and Marie Allison, and her brother, Hughie V. Lewis Jr.

Survivors include her son, Dion Lewis of Port Gibson; daughters, Crystal R. Lewis of Port Gibson, and Stacey D. Lewis of Farmington Hills, Mich.; three brothers, Raymond Lewis and Robert Lewis, both of Johnstown, Pa., and Leland A. Lewis of Nanty Glo, Pa.; sister, Alice Marie Lewis of Dearborn, Mich.; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.

Services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, June 26, 2014, at W. H. Jefferson Funeral Home.
