Steve Hightower Butler III

Steve Hightower Butler III, 81, of Vicksburg, formally of Como, passed away Thursday, July 3, 2014, at River Region Medical Center.

Mr. Butler attended Crawford Street United Methodist Church in Vicksburg and was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. He graduated from Como High School in Como, and attended the University of Mississippi. An avid sports fan, he loved Ole Miss Football and baseball and St. Louis Cardinals baseball.

He is survived by two sons, Steven Butler IV (Karen) and Patrick Butler (Kim) of Vicksburg; four grandchildren, Patrick Butler II, Hyden Butler, Layton Martin, and Deanna Weeks; and one great-granddaughter, Cheyenne Martin.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ann Weber Butler, and his parents, Steve Hightower Butler Jr. and Margaret Raiford Butler.

Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, July 7, 2014, at Ray-Nowell Funeral Home in Senatobia. Burial will be in Friendship Cemetery in Como under the direction of Ray-Nowell Funeral Home.
