Eugene Lesley Tilden of Vicksburg died Tuesday, July 15, 2014, at home. He was 74.

Mr. Tilden was born in Syracuse, N.Y. and had lived in Vicksburg for the last 25 years. He was a member of Mound Baptist Church in Mound, La., and was a retired truck driver.

Survivors include five sons, Edward Tilden, Robert Tilden Sr., Wiley Tilden, Clay Tilden, and Dustin Tilden; six daughters, Theresa Dayger, Pennie McCaskill, Paige Jordan, Leslie Barnes Harris, Christy Hurd, and Bridget Tilden; two brothers, Stanley Tilden and Charles Tilden; a sister, Audrey Tilden; 34 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

Services will be 2 p.m., Friday, July 18, 2014, at Mound Baptist Church with the Rev. Thomas Simpkins officiating.

Visitation will be Thursday, July 17, 2014, at Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home in Tallulah, La., from 5 to 7 p.m.

Burial will be at Silver Cross Cemetery in Tallulah, under the direction of Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home.
