A Warren County teen accused of intentionally ramming his vehicle into a Warren County patrol car and injuring a deputy was held without bail Saturday.

Brandon Heath Pickering, 18, 1262 Culkin Road, was arrested at about 2 a.m. Saturday and charged with aggravated assault of a law enforcement officer and felony eluding, Sheriff Martin Pace said.

Picking is accused of leading deputy Wesley Miller on a chase from near Openwood subdivision on Oak Ridge Road, north on Villanova Road and west on Gowall Road, Pace said.

At Whatley Road, Pickering turned north, and Miller remained near the Gowall intersection.

“There was already another deputy on Whatley Road, so at that point he was boxed in,” Pace said.

Pickering saw the other deputy and turned around, ramming Millers patrol car, Pace said.

“That is a gravel road, and the road is in very bad shape. After he hit the vehicle, he got stuck,” Pace said.

After arresting Pickering, Miller was taken to River Region Medical Center with minor injures, Pace said.

He was treated and released.

Pickering was held without bail in the Warren County Jail on Saturday awaiting his initial appearance set for Monday in Warren County Justice Court.

 

Woman held for drug court

A Vicksburg woman was held without bail Saturday for drug court.

Karie Thomason, 31, no address available, was held for a drug court sanction, according to Warren County Jail records.

Culkin Water District has issued a boil water notice for customers from in the Camden subdivision due to a break in a water line. Residents are asked to boil drinking and cooking water vigorously for 2 minutes until further notice.

The line break should effect about 20 customers.
