Burglary suspect receives additional theft charges

A Warren County man arrested Friday for auto burglary faces five additional theft charges after an investigastion by Warren County sheriff’s deputies, Sheriff Martin Pace said.
Pace said David Stewart, 20, 1171 Burnthouse Road, is accused of additional auto burglaries in the 300 and 400 blocks of Goodrum Road, 6000 Block of Castle Road, 100 block of Botino Road and the 5800 block of Jeff Davis Road. He said the additional burglaries were discovered during an investigation by Warren County detective Chris Satcher, who is the lead investigator in the case.
Steward was arrested early Friday morning by Cpl. Jonathan Hern, who charged him with auto burglary in the break-in of two cars at a home in the 500 block of Goodrum Road, Pace said.
He said a search of Stewart’s car later Friday found a .40-caliber Smith &Wesson semi-autmoatic pistol, a .22-caliber magnum revolver, assorted tools, credit cards, a car amplifier and 20-guage shotgun ammunition. Pace said the investigation in to the break-ins is continuing and more charges and more arrests are possible.
