William A. “Bill” Hoxie

William A. “Bill” Hoxie died Tuesday, Sept. 9, 2014, at his home. He was 61.

A lifelong resident of Claiborne County, he was a cattle rancher and logger. He was a Vietnam veteran serving in the U.S. Army, and attended the Episcopal Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, O.A. and Ethel Myrle McClendon Hoxie.

Survivors include his special friend, Lisa Mills of Hermanville, and cousins.

Graveside services were 11 a.m. today at Cedar Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Larry Davis officiating.

Glenwood Funeral Home in Vicksburg has charge of arrangements.
