Two held in robbery case
Two Vicksburg residents were held on strong-armed robbery charges Monday. Stony Moses, 35, 626 Fort Hill Drive, and Robin Saxon, 25, 10150 U.S. 61 South Lot 2, were held at the Warren County Jail without bond pending an initial appearance, Lt. Troy Kimble said. On Oct. 11 at 3:45 p.m. in the parking lot of the Dollar Tree on 2172 Iowa Blvd., Kimble said, the pair snatched a purse from a victim after asking her for directions. At 5:50 p.m. at the Battlefield Inn, the two pulled the same stunt. When reaching into the car in an attempt to snatch the second victim’s purse, one of the suspects bit the victim’s finger and physically assaulted her before fleeing the scene in a dark grey Nissan Altima.  Police found the vehicle at 7:20 p.m. at the Lady Luck Casino and arrested the pair. They have been charged with three counts of strong-armed robbery and one count of assault, Kimble said.
