RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. — Joshua Craig Brogdon, 31, passed away Sunday morning, Oct. 19, 2014, at Oklahoma Heart Hospital in Oklahoma City. He was surrounded by his family and friends.

Josh was born on Sept. 16, 1983, in Vicksburg and graduated from Warren Central high school in 2002. He attended Ittawamba Community College on a football scholarship and graduated from Arkansas Tech University in Russellville, Ark. with a bachelor’s in business administration. While at ATU, he was a member of the Kappa Sigma fraternity.

Josh was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, N.J. Brogdon Jr.,and maternal grandfather, Ray Renfro.

He built a full resume while in college and after, settling into a career in the oil and gas industry. He worked for Trican Well Services as a field engineer and had made his home in Oklahoma City. Although he traveled extensively in his position with Trican, he always made extra efforts to stay involved with his dispersed family and friends.

In his spare time, Josh was an avid and skilled motorcycle enthusiast and made many close friends riding and racing motorcycles.  He was noted for his fashionable riding gear and talent for keeping a crowd entertained.

Josh and Karli were engaged on Oct. 4.  Josh’s family is deeply saddened by the loss of his boisterous personality, ingenuity, passionate ideas, and enthusiasm for life.

Josh is survived by his fiancee, Karlista (Karli) J. Greenfield of Oklahoma City; his father, Perry Brogdon (Karen) of Dover, Ark.; his mother, Joy Renfro-Kiser (Johnny Kiser), three brothers, Jesse Brogdon (Jessica Cline), all of Vicksburg; Jeremy Brogdon
(Laura Beth) of Conway, Ark.; one step-brother, Austin Thomas of Dover, Ark.; one nephew, Haden Brogdon of Vicksburg; grandmothers Claire Kelley and Joan Brogdon, both of Vicksburg; two aunts, Judy Hogan (Hoyt) and Linda Renfroe (Mike), both of Vicksburg; one cousin, Joe Renfroe of Vicksburg, and other relatives.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. at Bakers Creek Church in Russellville, Ark.,  Friday, Oct. 24, 2014. Burial will be at East Point Cemetery under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Service of Russellville.

Visitation for family and friends will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, and Friday at the church at from 1 p.m. until service time. Internet obituary and online guest book are available at www.humphreyfuneral.com.

Pallbearers are Jesse Brogdon, Jeremy Brogdon, Austin Thomas, Joe Renfroe, Lee Yates, Brad Runsick, Eric Rigby, Carl Flowers

Honorary pallbearers are Garrett Jones, Todd Knight and Members of the Oklahoma Cross Country Bikers Association.
