Amos “Doom” Griffin died Oct. 8, 2014 at his home.

He was retired from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers with 25 years’ service.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers; a sister; and one son.

Survivors include a son. Thomas Wayne Griffin of Vicksburg; a sister, Dorothy James; a brother, Earl Griffin of Vicksburg; and nieces, nephews and friends.

Services will be Thursday, Oct. 23, 2014, at Mount Carmel M.B. Church in Vicksburg with the Rev. James Edwards Jr. officiating.
