Leroy Brown

Leroy Brown died Oct. 20, 2014, at River Region Medical Center. He was 66.

Mr. Brown was born Jan. 12, 1948, the son of the late Dennis Jr. and Mary Brown.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Dennis Brown III, James Brown and Freddie Johnson; and sisters, Joann Brown, Frankie Lightfoot and Thelma Johnson.

Survivors include his wife, Cherry Brown; his son, Marcus  Brown of Summerville, S.C.; three daughters, Brittany Brown and Whitney Brown of Vicksburg, and Felicia N. Brown of Oklahoma City; seven grandchildren; five brothers, Bobby Jack Brown, Harry Brown, and Dennis Johnson, all of Vicksburg, Terry Brown of Alexandria, La., and Paul Brown of League City, Texas; four sisters, Loraine Tate of Memphis, Tenn., Pauline Harris, Louise Brown and Canerie Garrett, all of Vicksburg; and nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 26, 2014, at Cedar Grove M.B. Church, 3300 Grange Hall Road, with pastor Paul Fleming officiating.
Visitation will be Saturday from 2 to 5 p.m. at Lakeview Memorial Funeral Home with the family present from 4 to 5 p.m.
