Arbie Pearline Magee

ROLLING FORK — Arbie Pearline Magee passed away on Monday, Nov. 10, 2014, at Sharkey-Issaquena Hospital. She was 82.

Born to John Emmett Pittman and Concha Hutchinson on Jan. 3, 1932, she had lived in Rolling Fork for 51 years.  She was retired from the G.C. Cortright Co., and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Rolling Fork.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, John Pittman Jr., Alex Pittman and James Pittman.

She is survived by her husband, Jimmie Magee, to whom she was married for 59 years; two sons, Jim Magee (Kathy) and Kevin Magee (Beth); five grandchildren, Matt Magee (Gina), Emily Anne Callaway (Cooper), Ashley Lawrence (Mitch), Davis Magee and Carter Magee; and five great-grandchildren, Makenzie Magee, Campbell Callaway, Swayze Callaway, Meryn Parker Magee, and Sawyer Callaway.

Funeral services are 2 p.m. today, Nov. 11, 2014, at First Baptist Church of Rolling Fork. Burial will follow at Mound Cemetery under the direction of Glenwood Funeral Home.

Visitation will be at the church from 1 p.m. until the hour of the service.

Pallbearers will be Matt Magee, Davis Magee, Mitch Lawrence, Bill Newson, Thad Virden and Ricky Yarbrough. Honorary pallbearers will be James Carter, Lawrence Carter, Jimmy Walker, Coy Cox, Gilbert Tucker, Lee Martin, Harvey Cockrell, John Abney, Clark Carter, Andy Anderson, Cooper Callaway, Dr. Joe Austin, Dr. Michael Baker, Dr. Danny Jackson, and Eddie Holcomb.
