Janice R. Perrier died Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2014, at River Region Medical Center. She was 80.

Born in Sacramento, Calif., she had been a resident of Vicksburg since 1975.

Mrs. Perrier was the daughter of the late Charles Perkins and Edna Smith Perkins. She was a retired sociologist. She was of the Methodist faith.

She is survived by one daughter, Nanette Brown (Vernon) of Athens, Ga.; two sons, Eugene A. Perrier (Ann) of Vicksburg, and Jon Perrier (Wanda) of Diamond Head; daughter-in-law, Susan S. Perrier seven grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Dr. Eugene R. Perrier; and one son Charles R. Perrier.

A Service of Remembrance will be 2 p.m. Friday at Cedar Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Susannah Grubbs Carr, pastor of Hawkins United Methodist Church, officiating.

Visitation will be at Riles Funeral Home from noon Friday until the hour of the service.
