Alexander Slaughter Jr.

DALLAS — Alexander Slaughter Jr., a resident of Detroit, died Thursday, Nov. 13, 2014 in Desoto, Texas. He was 66. Funeral services were 11 a.m. today, Nov. 20, 2014, at Evergreen Memorial Funeral Home in Dallas. Burial followed at at Carver Memorial Park in Dallas.
Mr. Slaughter born in 1948 in Detroit to Alexander and Doretha Batiste Slaughter Sr.
He graduated from St. Mary’s High School in Vicksburg and later attended Highland Park College in Detroit, majoring in engineering. He was employed by the Chrysler Corp. in the automotive assembly line for dashboards for over 10 years before retiring.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his stepmother, Eva W. Slaughter,
Survivors include sisters, Sylvia Slaughter Williams, Victoria Blair, Sandra Allen, Sonja Cunningham and Agnes West, all of Vicksburg, and Mary Slaughter and Susan Slaughter, both of Hawaii; two brothers, Bernard Slaughter of Dallas and Christopher Slaughter of Vicksburg; and nieces, nephews, aunts uncles cousins and other relatives and friends.
